TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE IN PSYCHOTHERAPY
Clinical Experience
I have been in private practice since 1979 working with Individual Adults, Older Adolescents, Couples and Groups. I have addressed a wide range of issues with a diverse population of patients. I have specialized in treating young adults from late adolescence to their mid thirties who have difficulties transitioning to full adulthood. I have worked with Mothers’ Groups and with a wide range of parenting issues, especially those dealing with separation. From 1987 -1991 I led groups for post-partum mothers as a consultant for Midwifery Services.
I have been a training analyst and supervisor at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center since 1993.
Training
I received my Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy in 1979. I earned my Ph.D. in Sociology in1975.
I am always learning through my involvement in Professional Supervisory and Reading Groups. I also participate in Conferences and Workshops related to Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis.
Teaching and Supervisory Experience
I have been teaching and supervising students of psychoanalysis and psychotherapy since 1993 at the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center.
I supervise psychotherapists and psychoanalysts in my private practice.
